FAQ’s
1. How much capital will I require?
This will depend upon whether you wish to establish a new office or convert your business under the Goodchilds brand. Establishing a new office will require investment in the region of £25,000, depending upon the location
2. What experience do I need?
We do not expect you to have estate and lettings agency experience, as our package of training and support will enable you to operate to the highest standards. We will tend to focus on your commercial drive together with your ability to lead and motivate a team of staff to deliver our brand standards
3. Will I be able to sell my franchise?
Yes, you can sell your business just like any other business. However, we will want to vet the incoming Franchisee in the same way as we vet you. We also have the right to match the highest offer you have received and buy the business ourselves.
4. Will I have to work full time in the business?
Yes, we expect our Franchisees to operate the business on a full time basis.
5. If accepted as a Franchisee how long will it take to open my first unit?
This depends on how quickly you can find yourself a suitable location. As a guide you should be prepared to allow up to six months to find and fit-out an office-although if you enter into the Franchise Agreement with a location already secured this length of time can be dramatically reduced!
6. How much money will I make?
Goodchilds provides you with a business blueprint and the tools to help you make the business a success. Your success will depend on how you use the blueprint and the tools at your disposal!
7. Can I open more than one office?
Absolutely-our Franchise Package and Agreement will encourage you to maximise the full potential of your territory!
8. Do I need to find my own venues?
We fully expect Franchisees to play an active role in finding their own offices. However, we can also help you to find the right sites through our knowledge of the property market. We will insist on “signing off/approving” all sites.
9. What is the Franchise Term?
Our franchise opportunities are granted for a 5 year term, with rights of renewal subject to your franchise having been operated in a satisfactory manner as set out in the franchise agreement and Operations Manual.
10. Do I have to have experience in the Property Services sector?
Absolutely not!
We have put in place a full induction and training programme for you to complete, our main requirement is that you have the key skills to manage a business and more importantly the passion to make a success of it!
